A warm welcome

YOUR hosts are Chris and Karen Tinkler who look forward to sharing with you their love of fine food and comfort.

Breakfast in the Mill will be a highlight of your stay. The dining room walls are soft yellow stone, the floor is paved with York flags, with glass over the millrace. Your farmhouse English breakfast will be cooked to order while you choose from a selection of cereals, fruits and juices from the buffet - mind your head on the low beams!

By arrangement The Cornmill offers four course dinners by candlelight, featuring local produce, home grown vegetables and eggs from The Cornmill flock and offering a selection of fine wines.

There are many local restaurants to discover, catering for a variety of tastes and budgets.

Relax in luxury

AS you drive over the millrace and into the paddock, you will enter a little haven of peace.

Leave the pressures of your everyday life behind, and enjoy a refreshing stay in the delightful surroundings of The Cornmill.

The present mill was built in the 18th Century, but there are records of working mills around here in the Doomsday Book. Although no longer a working mill, the race continues to rush under the milling floor - now the dining room - and a partly glazed floor allows guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of the millrace as they eat.
